Fashionologie is reporting on two new supermodel developments. The first being Claudia Schiffer’s new baby girl. Fresh from posing naked and preggers on the cover of German Vogue, the model and husband Matthew Vaughn welcomed a second daughter into their family. They already have two children, Caspar 7, and Clementine 5. The family are set to announce the new baby name later this week. Also happening in London was the wedding of Dutch model Lara Stone and comedian David Walliams. The paired were married in a traditional ceremony at the Claridges Hotel. Lara wore a custom-designed dress by Riccardo Tisci (of Givenchy). Guests included Tom Ford, Mario Testino, Lily Donaldson and Jefferson Hack.

In shopping news, Kate Moss has unveiled her new collection for Topshop. The collection has been described as decidedly girlie. As with previous collections, the inspiration is part-vintage and part-Kate’s own wardrobe. Expect lost of ruffles, maxi dresses, smocks and lace.

Mulberry’s Alexa bag is definitely the bag of the year. Adored by  fashion editors, celebrities and fashionistas, there is still a chance to join the Alexa-loving crowd. A new metallic gold version of the dress goes on sale today. The limited edition version is available at Selfridges online boutique.

Gisele Bundchen has been named the world’s highest paid model according to The Telegraph. The Brazilian bombshell and new mom tops the list for the second year in a row with earnings around $25 million. Bundchen was followed by Heidi Klum and Kate Moss. Both Klum and Moss held onto their respective places from last year with earnings of $16 million and $9 million. Rounding off the top five are another Brazilian model and new mama Adriana Lima and Dutch model Doutzen Kroes.

Model Noemie Lenoir is being treated in a French hospital after a failed suicide attempt. The French model who has a was found unconscious in a forest on Sunday suffering the effects of an overdose, reports Vogue. Lenoir, 30, has been linked to businessman Carl Hirschmann who has been embroiled in a recent underage sex scandal. Its rumoured the scandal is cause of the suicide attempt.

Chanel showed their Resort collection in St Tropez this week. The show started with models stepping off boats before sashaying down the streets according to Elle. The all-star model cast included Behati Prinsloo, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Anja Rubik and Georgia May Jagger. Also included was plus-size model Crystal Renn who is currently the model du jour. The collection has been described as retro with lots of maxi dresses, ruffles and cropped jackets. The perfect wardrobe for yacht –lounging in the south of France.

Johnny Depp’s leading lady, Vanessa Paradis, has been announced as the face for Chanel’s Coco Cocoon range of handbags. The puffy-quilted handbags were introduced last year reports WWD. The model, singer and Johnny Depp’s baby mama is currently starring in the advertising campaign for Chanel’s Rouge Coco lipstick. These are not her first forays with the brand — she first appeared in 1994 television spot for Coco fragrance. The images which have been photographed by head designer Karl Lagerfeld are expected to start appearing in fashion magazines in June.

Last month, Alexa Chung photographed her outfit daily and posted it on a Vogue blog for everyone to see what the It Girl was wearing. The Today I’m Wearing… feature was such a hit that Vogue is reporting that sales of the cover girl’s preferred clothes and wardrobe choices have risen dramactically on eBay. After Alexa had sported a pair of dungarees, eBay saw the sales increase by 75%. Clogs, similar to the pair Alexa wore on the March cover saw a hike as well, with sales jumping just under 200%. eBay spokesperson Julia Hutton-Potts told Vogue, “It seems that whatever Alexa wears, we want to wear.”

Fashionistas have been tweeting all week. Why wasn’t Lindsay at the Ungaro show? Quite simply: she no longer works for them. After last season’s less-than-stellar showing, the occasional actress and singer failed to show up at the fashion house’s Paris Fashion Week show, instead opting to sit front row at shows like Viktor & Rolf, Dior and Kenzo. Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah had told the media that La Lohan was not involved in the latest collection which even without Lindsay’s input was still dated and nothing spectacular. Considering Lindsay was brought in to inject a youthful edge and give the brand some much-needed publicity perhaps firing her was a bold move for Ungaro. Although no designer, the troubled celebrity did put the label back in the headlines.

The Love Magazine Blog has an awesome collection of backstage photos from Milan’s fashion week. Go behind the scenes at Dolce & Gabanna, Prada, Armani and Gucci. Expect to see lots of girls in their knickers, surly yet shockingly beautiful models and snippets of the upcoming season’s trends.

In case you were still not convinced Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue US, had a powerful hold over the fashion industry, your opinion can now change. It was reported that Anna planned to only stay in Milan for three days during fashion week. This decision caused the organizers to work around her and change the normal nine day event into five. Although it may have suited Anna, the rest of the Milan fashion pack were not as happy. According to Fashionista.com, the press and buyers were entertained outside the Gucci show by a group of protesters wearing wigs, sunglasses and t-shirts that read “I Will Only Stay 3 Days”.

Lily Allen is giving up music and turning to fashion. At least that’s the story she’s telling Style.com. Lily told the website that her last gig will be next week and then it’s onto bright pastures, namely a vintage shop called Lucy in Disguise she’ll be opening with her sister Sarah. The shop is set to open in August and will debut at the UK’s Goodwood Festival along with other vintage stalls and shops. The stock will be picked by the Allen sisters under the mentorship of Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway, the duo who  turned Camden Market into the vintage Mecca it is now.

Two weeks after his death, Lee Alexander McQueen was laid to rest.  The 40-year-old designer, whose death has now been ruled as a suicide, was buried at Saint Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge. Among the family members and friends, many prominent fashion personalities including Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Stella McCartney, could be spotted. Many of the mourners wore some of the designs that made McQueen so famous. These included several family members who sported the designer’s trademark tartan and heiress Daphne Guinness who wore a dramatic cape from a previous collection.  A much larger memorial service for McQueen’s supporters is expected to take place later this year.
