A POEM BY CRAIG PRINSLOO

Candy coated blade edges, sweet yet with the ability to destroy.
It’s this ability that makes the blade much more than just a blade.
Only a sharp controlled blade will cut clean.
Only a well trained mind can pierce as effectively as such a blade.
Each movement calculated and performed with pin point accuracy.
Methodical strokes bring forth beautiful destruction.

Alcohol removes you; Mother Nature cheers you up and they cheer you on.
All mind numbing experiences leading towards a greater understanding
of your own soul.

Where I chose to make my home, is where my home will be.
That is where I’m content, NOT happy, but content.
Stuck between now and yesterdays madness.

I’ll be the JOKER full of smiles, hiding behind a confused chaotic world.
Masked mayhem you say?
I laugh, they giggle, as we all look around with sensitive eyes.
Eyes so well tweaked that they see the unseen mistakes of the past.
A mirrored image of your soul’s true form.

Society forever searches for answers.
My answer however doesn’t answer your question.
INCORRECT MATCH
Moving along on my journey with nothing but an answer
Forever searching for MY question.

One foot in front of the other
In constant motion.
Analysing, understanding and reacting

It’s all about making progress.
Finding yourself further today than you were yesterday.
Realising that all your hard works finally paying off.
It’s a wonderful understanding that can be triggered by the smallest of small.
Such realizations are there to let you know that life’s OK.
A Hand to rub your back and console you through those tough times.
Making a smile last for a second longer than before.

To me happiness can be measure my how many times you smile,
Each smile is a reaction after analyzing and understanding a moment in time.

So smile regardless of pain as happier times are on their way.
Peace, love and patients.

Craig Prinsloo is an ordinary man with extraordinary thoughts.
