BY GREEN EYES

Welcome to the first of a weekly round up of fashion and lifestyle news and views by our undercover blogger Green Eyes!

It’s no news that filming for the sequel of Sex & The City has started. Sarah Jessica Parker has been spotted outside Carrie’s brownstone in an array of designer duds and oddly a green sweatband. Perez Hilton, via InTouch Weekly, is reporting on a whole host of spoilers for the new movie. Click here if you want to read about what happens to Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. If it’s all to be believed, the girls are in for some hectic times.

Fashionistas, media personalities and all the beautiful people descended upon 14 Hope Street last week for the ghd Revelations event. This lucky blogger was able to snag an invite to an event that had people queuing around the block to get inside. Once inside, guests were treated to Krone champers and a walk-through of nine installations of scantily-clad models, performers and stunning set designs. My favourite was writing down my deepest, darkest secret and tying it to a wish tree. Fingers crossed it comes true. To see pictures of the amazing event visit the ghd’s Style Diary Flickr.

Touchline Media and Rodale HQ launched the online website of their latest publication Women’s Health today. The actual magazine will only hit newsstands 21 October. Rumour has it, the editor was only chosen late into the project. Nevertheless the site looks good and has a range of experts dedicated to help woman achieve a healthy lifestyle. Check out the site here.

Vogue UK is reporting that the recent economic downslide is the reason agencies and fashion designers are opting for a more classic, curvier look for their models. This new shift towards the girl-next-door vibe is a ploy by designers and fashion houses to attract the real woman to their stores and clothes. IMG talent scout David Cunningham recognizes the move as a more commercial period in fashion. Also these are the girls the consumer is more likely to relate to rather than the pale-skinned heroin chic of years before.
