Another week’s gone by — and it’s rather scary to think The Soapbox has been live for over a month!

Last week shadow environment minister Gareth Morgan wrote in The Guest Column about the most pressing environmental issues in new minister Buyelwa Sonjica’s in-tray. In Politics & Society, Lara Moses told us why we should celebrate Africa Day. And SL explained how apartheid dinosaurs are the biggest threat to South Africa’s true transformation.

In The World View,  Tehran-based freelance journalist Kourosh Ziabari talked about the controversy surrounding the dropping of the name “Persian Gulf” from the medals and promotional materials of the 2009 Islamic Solidarity Games which was slated to be held in Iran.

As usual, there’ll be more posts up this week, so come back regularly for fresh news and views.
